Do I need special equipment to use Aroha Calls?
No extra hardware needed. We provision a Telnyx business number for you, connect it to our AI receptionist, and sync your calendar. You can keep your current mobiles/landlines—forwarding and routing are handled in the cloud.
What’s a Telnyx number and why use it?
A Telnyx number is a modern VoIP business phone line. It’s fast to set up, reliable, and lets us route calls to the AI or your team with crystal-clear audio. Pick a local NZ number, add more as you grow, and manage everything online.
How long does setup take?
Most businesses go live the same day. We: (1) assign your Telnyx number, (2) load your hours/services/FAQs, (3) connect Google/Outlook calendars, and (4) test a real call. Setup is included on every plan.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. You can forward your existing number to your new Telnyx line, or port it (bring your number over). We’ll advise the best option for your carrier and plan.
How does appointment booking work?
We connect Cal.com to your Google/Outlook calendar. The AI checks live availability and books services into the correct event type (e.g., haircut, colour). Confirmation details are sent instantly; reminders are available on Professional+ plans.
What’s the difference between Starter, Professional, and Premium?
Starter covers the basics (1 number, bookings, FAQs, call summaries). Professional adds 2 numbers, call routing/transfer, advanced Knowledge Base, and monthly analytics. Premium adds up to 5 numbers, VIP routing/escalation, branded AI voice, SMS/email reminders, weekly analytics, and priority support.
Can I cancel anytime? Do you offer refunds?
Yes—cancel anytime and your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle. Because our service is digital and delivered instantly, we don’t provide refunds for partial periods (see Return & Refund Policy). A 7-day free trial lets you test risk-free.
How are call summaries and transcripts delivered?
After each call, we email a short summary and the transcript to your chosen address. You’ll see who called, what they needed, and any booking details. Premium bundles deeper analytics and weekly insights.
What about privacy and data security?
We follow NZ privacy expectations and only use call data to provide the service (summaries, transcripts, analytics). See our Privacy Policy for full details and data-handling practices.
Can the AI route urgent or VIP callers to my mobile?
Yes. Professional supports call routing/transfer to mobiles or departments. Premium adds priority routing and escalation rules (e.g., VIP callers first, urgent calls flagged and forwarded).
